We weren’t originally sure whether to add the excellent busaba to our site, but decided that it should be here on account of always providing well balanced, good value Thai cuisine. A perfect green curry is very hard to find. We like the Bird Street branch best. Not recommended if you don’t like communal tables.

Very good, but Zucca Bermondsey is better and better value.

The Gilbert Scott, St Pancras

Quality English food in the beautifully restored St Pancras station hotel. Good wine list, friendly service and a simple menu combining the delightful with the traditional. We are not yet sure how the GS will position itself among London restaurants, we think it sits nicely among the likes of Corrigans and the Wolseley.

Crazy Homies, Westbourne Park

Quirky Mexican cafe with a very good range of tacos, tostadas and quesadillas – and don’t forget your chocolate dipped churros for afters. Very, very yummy. Deserves a visit from any taco loving Londoner.

Momo, Mayfair

Amazing lamb tagine! Less great if you are vegetarian. The clientele at Momo is a mixture of out of town visitors, in-crowd types and friends having dinner. We had planned to come here for some time, and found our expectations largely met. Overall a good dinner experience, with good Moroccan and Lebanese wines on offer. Some let downs, like the desserts and the absence of cocktails that were supposed to be part of the deal, meant that the set menu at £49 seemed a little pricey.
