Dinners in London

Baltic serves up traditional Eastern European fare in a crowded restaurant with medium friendly service. The food is very good, but we had built up expectations to what proved to be an unrealistic level and were duly dissapointed by the over sized, fried pierogi (not the smallish cushions of steamed goodness that we know from the Eastern European neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Scandinavia. Still, if you have a craving for blinis or beetroot loveliness soup, Baltic is definitely worth a visit. We also love Wodka in Kensington (same owner), the atmosphere is great and it’s situated in a nice residential area. www.balticrestaurant.co.uk
